We are aware that the decision on whether to accept the option to close Beechgrove will be reconsidered tomorrow (Friday 23rd March).
We have rewritten to the elected members on the IJB to reiterate our position that it is simply not right that the IJB can take a decision on the future of peoples’ jobs in the council, and that we believe it to be morally wrong to close the last remaining care home in Perth.
We will hold a consultative ballot if the decision is to close to see how strongly you feel about this issue and what you would be prepared to do to stop the closure.
Whatever happens, we will fully support you in any decision to wish to make.
